Dr. Ziegler has consistently had an interest in health care, human behavior, and technology. He first had experience in health care working as a nurse aid in high school and college. Dr. Ziegler received his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, College of LSA. After undergrad, he worked in technology at the Electronic Medical Records vendor Epic . After doing this for years, he decided he wanted to be more involved in direct patient care. He pursued medicine, and received his medical degree from Michigan State University CHM. After graduation he did an internship at Oakwood Heritage Hospital (now Beaumont) in Taylor, Michigan. He completed his residency training in psychiatry at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, in the role of Chief Resident in his final year. Other leadership roles include being Lead Psychiatrist of 90 bed unit at Washington’s Eastern State Hospital. He has worked in inpatient, outpatient, walk in clinic, emergency department, psychiatric emergency service, geriatric, child and adolescent settings.

He has interests in The Matrix, Office Space, boating, and he believes It’s More Fun in the Philippines.
